About Me

I was born and raised here in the Pacific Northwest in Issaquah, Washington. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Biola University and my Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in Seattle. I have a Concentration in Trauma and Abuse within my MACP, as well as have completed the Narrative Focused Trauma Certificate from the Allender Center. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC61452319) in the state of Washington.

My work as a therapist has been largely shaped by my background in justice-oriented work.  Having worked in Washington D.C. and Seattle with focus on women’s health, as well as advocacy for children experiencing homelessness, my therapeutic work has a bent towards understanding ourselves in context of systemic injustice.

I have worked for years with children and teens in trauma-informed care, and seek to consider the ways trauma and injustice impact both the body and mind. Within this work, I desire to continually own my privilege and position as a white, straight, cis-gendered woman, and I will pursue anti-racist work within my self and my practice.

Having been raised in the Christian church, I am also passionate about the injustice and disillusionment that can be interwoven with religion. I am an advocate for processing spirituality, religious trauma and deconstruction within your therapeutic work with me. The impact the church has had on women and women’s bodies is very important. I enjoy working with people as they disentangle and process their spiritual/church experiences. I feel kin to people who are confused and lost in this space. Religious trauma is real – let’s talk about it.

Beyond my work, I am a runner, avid reader, and aspiring mountaineer. I seek a life of adventure, and also slowness. I enjoy spending time with my community and exploring new cities!
